Srinagar: Kewal Kumar Sharma, advisor to the J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday resigned and took over charge as State Election Commissioner.
“K K Sharma resigns as Advisor to Lieutenant Governor of J&K; appointed State Election Commissioner,” tweeted government spokesperson Rohit Kansal.
He was administered the oath by Lieutenant Governor here.
Speaking on the occasion, Sinha congratulated him for his new appointment.
