Awantipora: Police Awantipora claimed to have arrested a militant associate belonging to Hizbul Mujahideen from south Kashmir’s Awantipora Police district on Friday.
A Hizbul Mujahideen associate involved in providing shelter, logistics and other support to militants has been arrested in Awantipora area, police officials told Kashmir Reader.
The arrested militant associate has been identified as Firdous Ahmad Dar, resident of Dangerpora Noorpora, Awantipora.
Police claimed that Firdous, was involved in providing shelter, logistic and other support to the Hizbul Mujahideen militants as well in transporting of arms and ammunition in Awantipora and Tral area.
Incriminating material seized from him has been taken into case records for investigation, police said.
A case FIR number 153/2020 has been registered at police station Awantipora under relevant sections and further investigation is on.
