Kupwara: A youth from Lolab area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district injured after being hit by a wood log succumbed yesterday succumbed at SKIMS Srinagar.
Local sources said that a 26 years old Rafaqat Ahmad War son of Mohammad Sidiq War resident of Diver village of Lolab Kupwara came under a log on Sunday afternoon when he was collecting firewood with other men in nearby Nagbal forests.
The injured was shifted to sub district hospital (SDH) Kupwara where he was shifted to SKIMS hospital Srinagar for advance treatment, however on Monday morning he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, police station Lalpora Kupwara registered a case under 174 and started investigation of the case after the family of the deceased approached police for a probe.
