Bandipora: Bandipora Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession. Acting on a specific information police party of P/s Sumbal led by SHO Sumbal Shri Muneeb Ul Islam under the supervision of SDPO Sumbal Shri Nisar Ahmad Khan -JKPS ,arrested a person namely Umer Mohammad Guroo R/o Naninara Sumbal and recovered around 3 KG of Bhang powder, 1300 Grams of Charas from his possession during a Naka checking at Naninara and later also recovered other equipments/instruments used in the preparation of charas.
In this regard,Case FIR under relevant sections of NDPS ACT has been registered in Police Station Sumbal and further investigation taken up.
General Public is requested to come forward with any Information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling and cultivation of contraband substances will be dealt strictly as per law.
