BARAMULLA: The students of class 11 on Saturday once again staged protest seeking mass promotion.
Eyewitness said that day after when JKBOSE categorically said that there will be no mass promotion for class 11 in Kashmir division, a large number of students on Saturday morning belonged to different areas of Sopore assembled at the Sopore town and staged a protest demonstration in favour of mass promotion.
They shouted slogans in favour of mass promotion with the angry students breaking the main gate of Government higher secondary school Sopore and then blocked the main road at Iqbal market Sopore for some time. The protesters again said that they have not completed the all syllabus due to Covid 19 this year, how can they sit in the examination halls,
Earlier the JK BOSE had announced that there is no mass promotion for any class this year, however announced 30 percent relaxation in syllabus in the exams for students of class 10th to 12th.
