PAMPORE: SSP Awantipora Tahir Saleem on Wednesday distributed uniform and kits among the 15 teams which took part in the 7-a-side Habba Khatoon Football Tournament played at Habba Khatoon Football Ground at Chandhara area of Pampore.
As many as 32 teams participated in the tournament.
SSP Tahir Saleem stated that sports activities play an important role in one’s overall development and prevents negative thoughts creeping in the minds of young generation. He asserted that youth need to channelise their energy into positive direction and stressed for having competitive yet good sports spirit. He reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir Police is committed to provide platform for sports activities for the youth and more such activities shall be organized in future in Police District Awantipora.
On the request of the participating players four illumination lights for installation in the stadium has been distributed among the organizers and 01 water point has been installed in the said football ground at Chandhara.
