Large number of people visit journalist Javid’s home to offer condolence

BARAMULLA: A large number of people including journalists, social workers, friends and relatives visited the home of Rising Kashmir senior correspondent Javid Ahmad in Watergam to offer their condolences and offer special prayers for the departed soul.
Delegations of journalist associations including Baramulla working journalist associations (BWJA) Sopore media association, Tangmarg media association, Handwara media association, Kupwara journalist association and Bandipora journalist association visited the residence of Javid Ahmad at Watergam and offered condoled with the bereaved family.
A condolence meeting was also held in the office of the Baramulla working journalist association (BWJA) under the chairman and president of the association where they paid tribute to Javid for his excellent work. They said Javid Ahmad was a great personality hard worker and an honest journalist.
Javid Ahmad Malla 31 son of Nazir Ahmad Malla a resident of Watergam village of Rafiabad Baramulla was working as defence correspondent for the daily English news paper Rising Kashmir.
He passed away on Thursday afternoon due to heart attack in a passenger vehicle near Pattan area on Baramulla Srinagar highway.Javid Ahmad was associated with Rising Kashmir news paper from past several years.
Family sources said that Javid was married in April this year and survived his parents, wife, two sisters and a younger brother.
