BARAMULLA: Sopore police on Monday said that they have solved a theft case of the town and arrested an accused.
In a statement police district Sopore said that,on September 4 this month police station Sopore received information that during intervening night two shops of main market sopore were looted and locks of many others were broken by unknown thieves/burglars.
Upon receipt of this information case FIR number 243/2020 stands registered in police station Sopore. To nab the culprits a special team was constituted, which has raided at many suspicious places and detained various suspects for questioning. Police team has also obtained CCTV footage of occurance and after hectic and stern efforts and with the assistance of traders association Sopore police team has arrested one Pervaiz Ahmad Syed son of Ghulam Ahmad Syed resident of Narayan Bagh Shadipora Ganderbal who has confessed to the commission of offence Further arrests are likely and investigation is going on in the case..
