CCPC KU holds webinar on Entrepreneurship & Development

Srinagar: The Center for Career Planning and Counselling(CCPC), University of Kashmir (KU) organized a webinar on “Entrepreneurship and Development: Exploring the Why, What and How of Innovation” here on Monday.
The webinar was meant to explore options on how to be a self-employed.
Vice Chancellor, KU Prof. Talat Ahmad inaugurated the webinar and addressed the participants and highlighted the need of entrepreneurship and development in the region.
Prof. Talat also appreciated the initiatives and the role CCPC KU has lately assumed in the area of Career Counselling & Placements, Training and Coaching.
Director, CCPC Prof. Mohammad Shafi said that the need of the hour is to innovate. “We are going to conduct a series of the webinars on career counselling.
Today we kick started the series with the webinar on exploring the why, what and how of innovation. The aim of such webinars is to inculcate the spirit of self-careering by being Innovative Entrepreneurs, work for yourself rather and be an employer for others,” Prof. Shafi added.
Dr. Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad, faculty member at the School of Management, Zhejiang University, China talked about the inventions of industrial revolution and discussed innovations and the role of universities in nurturing an innovation culture.
He deliberated on why and how students should opt for innovative pursuits.
The webinar was moderated by Dr. Bilal Pandow, Career Counselling & Placements Consultant for CCPC. The consultant (training, coaching and tests) for the Centre, Hina Kazmi presented vote of thanks.
