SRINAGAR: Acting Mayor Mr Parvaz Ahmad Qadri has expressed gratitude to the eLieutenant Governor J&K, Manoj Sinha .
Parvaiz Qadri who interacted with LG last month put forth several vital issues of SMC before him for his consideration.
He said that priority was to enhance powers to the Elected Body of Srinagar Municipal Corporation and also to ensure overall development of the city .
The 74th constitutional Amendment Act needs to be implemented in letter and spirit to enhance the powers of the elected body Municipal Corporation and pubic representatives further reiterated Acting Mayor.
Taking to Twitter MQadri has expressed thankfulness to the LG and said I “extend my sincere gratitude to Shri @manojsinha_ Ji for considering my suggestions with regard to empowerment of SMC and his prompt response to the exigent issues.
He further tweeted that Srinagar city under the provisions of 74th Constitutional Amendment Act I am extremely happy to let all of you know that in a first development several wings of Urban Forestry Division Srinagar along with budget are being transferred to SMC, other important orders are to be expected soon.
