Amid spike in Covid-19 cases, restrictions re-imposed in Ganderbal

Ganderbal: A surge in Covid-19 cases in recent days has led to the district authorities in Ganderbal district re-imposing lockdown in the entire district till September 5.
An order in this reagard issued by District Magistrate Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal on Friday said that there is continuous surge in number of COVID-19 positive cases in Ganderbal from last few days, and it has been reported that public unnecessarily throng to the market’s and violate the SOPs/adversaries in vogue adding that whereas, due to spike in COVID-19 positive cases and non-adherence to SOPs/ Adversaries the Ganderbal residents have become more susceptible of COVID -19 It has been felt expedient to break further transmission of COVID- 19 and has become imperative to take stringent precautionary measures by completely restricting the movement in Ganderbal district on 29th August, 2020 (Saturday) till 5th September 2020(Saturday).
That there shall be complete lockdown in district District Ganderbal on 29th August, 2020 (Saturday) till 5 September, 2020 (Saturday) except for Medical Emergencies/ Essential Services, the order read.
Any person, group’s institution’s found violating the directions contained herein this order shall be booked under the provisions of relevant act, rule , law.
The Police authorities, Executive Magistrates, accident Commanders shall enforce the order in their respective areas of jurisdiction forthwith.
