PAMPORE: Kashmir Power Development corporation sub division Pampore kick started a week long mega training programme for its employees, especially for the field staff regarding precaution and safety measures during maintenance work on Power Lines and High Voltage Equipments at Pampore.
During training session senior engineers from various engineering wings of the corporation gave a detailed practical lectures regards safety hazards during a day long Training programme which according to officials will be run for a week.
It is pertinent to mention that from couple of years the many employees of the corporation have lost their lives besides many of them got seriously injured during maintenance operations of extra high voltage lines, due to departmental negligence and lack of safety equipments.
Meanwhile Talking to Kashmir Reader, Junior Engineer Sub Division KPDCL Pampore Er Zubair Ahmad Rather said that ” The training programme has been orginised by our department in view of large casualties to our employees during operations, so that our employees may know about safety hazards and other Technical skills during overhauling of line maintenance” he further told this correspondent that “Such programmes will also be conducted in future with new technical knowhow regarding safety and maintenance”
