Srinagar: Acting tough against the violators of Govt prohibitory orders, Police have seized 88 vehicles and fined 26 violators for defying govt orders in Awantipora and Handwara.
In Awantipora, 26 violators were fined for not wearing masks in different areas of the Police district and fine to the tune of ₹13,000 was collected from them. Police have also seized 34 vehicles across the Police District for violating prohibitory orders issued by the administration.
While in Handwara, Police have seized 54 vehicles across the Police District for violating prohibitory orders issued by the administration.
Police have once again requested the general public to follow the directions issued by the Government in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Also, those who are found violating the restrictions will be dealt strictly.
