KULGAM: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today visited various areas and markets of the district to take first hand appraisal of enforcement of lockdown and implementation of COVID-19 SOPs and guidelines.
On the occasion, people who were found violating the SOPs and guidelines were fined on the spot and were counseled for negligence to prevent transmission of virus.
Some chemists and other shopkeepers dealing with supply of essential commodities were also fined for violation of SOP’s.
During the visit, the DC was accompanied by ADC Shabir Hussain besides other officers and officials of various departments.
