Kupwara: A woman was injured in cross fire along the LoC in Karnah sector of frontier Kupwara district on Wednesday late evening. Official sources said that Pakistani forces violated the ceasefire by firing bullets, one of which hit a local woman identified as Parveena Begum, 35, wife of Farid Ahmad of Hajitra village.
The injured woman was shifted to SDH Tangdar for treatment. Officals said that the woman was hit by a bullet in her leg.
There is no fresh cross firing reported in the sector.
