Police solves burglary case; accused arrested

SRINAGAR: Police in Srinagar solved a burglary case reported to Police Station Nowhatta and arrested an accused person involved in the commission of crime. Stolen property worth lakhs has also been recovered.
On July 15th 2020, PS Nowhatta received information from one individual Bilal Ahmad Shah resident of lqbal Market Jamia Masjid that some unknown burglars have barged into his residential house/shop and have decamped with cash of Rs.195800/- and golden ornaments worth rupees 02 lakhs approximately from his residential house/shop.
Accordingly, Case FIR No. 37/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered in PS Nowhatta and investigation was initiated.
During the course of investigation, officers taking assistance of modern techniques learnt about the involvement of one accused person identified as Ayan Sidique @Vishal resident of Kirthpora Mohalla Kumkaran Teh/Distt. Bijnor of State UP at present residing in Padan Nowhatta.
He was arrested and shifted to PS Nowhatta where he remains in custody. Stolen property including cash of R .84375 besides two golden rings,two golden coins, two pair earrings, cigarettes 4 boxes and other items were recovered on his disclosure.
Officers also learnt about the involvement of the accused in similar other crime cases and on his disclosure have recovered stolen items including cigars cigarette boxes, a golden coin grams two pairs of golden earrings .
Community members have appreciated the efforts made by the Srinagar police. We assure community members that police have resolved to act tough against individuals involved in criminal activities.
