Lockdown, restrictions extended in Budgam

BUDGAM: For the prevention measures of spreading of the Covid 19 among the people, the Deputy Commissioner of Budgam on Monday extended the lockdown and imposition of the restrictions under Section 144Cr PC for next five days upto 25th July across the Budgam district.
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner Budgam has order imposed for the restrictions and lockdown from 16th July to 20th July 2020.
An order issued by the Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza which reads after discussion with the health authorities and examining ground situation. It has been found that the restrictions are required to be continued for the time being to stop the spread of Covid-19.
“Now, therefore, in order to contain the further spread of Covid-19 and in exercise of powers under Section 144 Cr PC and Section 34 Disaster Management Act, 2005, the restrictions imposed from 16th July to 20th July are hereby extended for a period of five days from 21th July to 25th July 2020,” order said
The orders said that Senior Superintendent of Police Budgam/ Srinagar, Concerned SDMs, Tehsildars/ Naib Tehsildars (Executive Magistrate Ist class), SDPOs and SHOs shall ensure strict implementation of restrictions for five days up to 25th July 2020.
