Er ASRINAGAR: BJP National Youth Vice President Er Aijaz Hussain has welcomed the statement issued by BJP leader Ram Madhav’s calling for restoration of statehood for Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement issued by here, he said that Indian parliament has downgraded the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories beside revocation of special status on August 5 last year. Now it has been close to a year, the demand and need for restoration of statehood is gathering momentum. Altaf Bukhari led Apni party too has been asking for it time and again. Congress has been voicing the same.
“Madhav ji understands the aspirations of the people better. I welcome it, so are the other leaders of the party working with me. The GOI should do it as soon as possible. It will add to the trust of people they gained after the article 370 was gone, ” Hussain said
Hussain also has spoken to Ram Madhav on phone, and congratulated him for batting for the statehood, the statement added.
