BANDIPORA: Police in Sumba acting on a specific Information arrested a drug peddler along withcontraband substance. A police party ofPolice Station Sumbal led by SHO P/S Sumbal Muneeb Ul Islam under thesupervision of SDPO Sumbal Saqib Ghani arrested a person namely MehrajudinNajar residenst of Inderkote Sumbal and recovered 37 bottles ofpsychotropic drug Codeine Phosphate from the premises of his residentialhouse. In thisconnection,Case FIR No.105/2020 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has beenregistered in Police Station Sumbal and further investigation taken up. General public isrequested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in theirneighbourhood.
