Yateem Foundation spends over 11.5 millions on 7k families during corona lockdown

Srinagar: TJ&K Yateem Foundation spent over 11.5 millions among 6950 families affected due to three months long lockdown enforced by the authorities to keep spread of corona virus under control since its onset till ending May.
Chairman JKYF Mohammad Ahsan Rather presided over a special session of the district representatives and programme executives of the organization held after a haul of three months at its headquarter Baitulhilal Jawahernagar Srinagar to take stock of the humanitarian aid activities carried out in J&K.
District representatives gave a detailed account of their activities under taken in their respective districts during the lockdown to provide helping hand to deserving and needy.
Baramulla,Srinagar,Kulgam,Ganderbal,Pulwama,Kupwara,Anantnag,Bandipora,Budgam,Shopian,Kishtwar and,Doda districts have incurred over 37.5lac,11lac,6.5 lac,5.5 lac,14 lac,4.4 lac,1 lac,8 lac,3.7 lac,7 lac,5.8lac and 10 lac respectively .
Over 6.5 lac was directly transfered into bank accounts of 2836 deserving persons.An amount of 43.7 lac were spent on food kits distributed among 2970 families.193 persons received cash assistance of the tune of 2.7 lac .PPE/Masks worth3.5 lac were provided to 951 persons.
DRs Bandipora and Baramulla informed that scores of patients were provided 7*24 ambulance services in their respective districts during the lockdown.
Chairman Yateem Foundation applauded volunteers for their commitment and dedication to carry forward the social cause.
Besides representatives of all districts general secretary Dr Tariq Ahmad Malik and other programme executives were present in the day long session.Chairman thanked all the donors for their generous support for the social cause in these testing times.He made a fervent appeal to well off people of the society to donate for the underprivileged and needy.
