ACB arrrests former govt employee in Budgam

Srinagar: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday said that it has arrested former Chief Planning Officer Budgam in a case regarding disproportionate assets.
In a statement , ACB said that it arrested Noor Mohammad Wani, the then Chief Planning Officer Budgam, in case under FIR number 18/2019 registered at Police Station ACB Kashmir.
“The instant case was registered for accumulation of assets disproportionate to known source of income by Noor Mohammad Wani. During the investigation, it was found that the suspect in his service has raised assets disproportionate to his known source of income which palatial house at Karipora Budgam, double storey school buildings at Haknipora Budgam, 03 Kanals of land at Aru Pahalgam, 02 Kanals of Land at Karipora Budgam, one TATA Indigo Marina Car, one Spark Cheverolet Car, Two TATA Star Buses etc,” it said.
It added that during investigation, searches were conducted at his residence and various incriminating documents related to the assets and other properties were seized. The investigation of the case is going on, it said.
