PAMPORE: A major fire outbreak was averted by Fire and Emergency Service in the Pampore area after a tanker carrying material for macadamisation caught fire near the LPG bottling plant in Galander area on Tuesday.
Incharge Fire and Emergency Service Pampore Abdul Hai told Kashmir Reader that a tanker carrying several thousand liters of this combustible material caught fire near the gate of the LPG bottling plant gate.
He said that they rushed to the spot immediately and doused the fire.He added that the fire erupted due to sparking leakage in the tanker and if not controlled on time could have resulted in a major fire.
