Srinagar: Agriculture Department utilising Mobile Refrigerated Vans for delivery of fresh vegetables
As Part of initiatives taken by the Department to reach out the common citizens of the valley the Department of Agriculture has procured many Mobile Refrigerated Vans which are being extensively used under present environment for carrying of fresh vegetables from the field to market and sold on subsidy rates so that the ill-effects of Covid-19 are medicated to some extent.
The Director Agriculture Kashmir recently observed the sale of vegetables from one of the such refrigerated van at Lalmandi Srinagar and passed directions to the field staff to improve its delivery system so that on one side good remuneration is received by the vegetables growers on also consumers enjoy freshness of such different types of vegetables at subsidized rates.
