Handwara: Police in Handwara has arrested three drug peddlers and recovered heriona nd charas from their possession.
Based on reliable information, check pont was set up at Ganapora crossing in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kralgund. During checking one person namely Danish Farooq Mir was apprehended and during his personal search 50 gms of Heroin was recovered from his possession. In this connection case FIR No. 66/2020 U/S 8/21 NDPS 109 IPC Act has been registered against him in Police Station Kralgund and investigation taken up.
Similarly during cheking at Batgund crossing in the jurisdiction of Police Station Qalamabad. During search of a truck bearing registration no JK09B 4743 two persons namely Abdul Rouf Bukhari and Shabir Ahmad Malik were apprehended and during their personal search 500gms of Charas was recovered.
In this context case FIR No.51/2020 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered against them in Police Station Qalamabad and investigation taken up.
