Stress on following health guidelines

Jammu: Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu has conveyed heartiest congratulations to people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In his message, the Lt Governor said that the festival is one of many examples of India’s multi-dimensional culture. May this festival promote and maintain inter-religious understanding and co-existence and instill the spirit of brotherhood, harmony, and amity among the people of all faiths, he said.
The Lt Governor hoped that the culmination of the holy month of Ramzan, a period of fasting, prayer, and charity would retain and further enrich the J&K’s glorious pluralistic traditions. He prayed for peace, progress, and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. The Lt Governor, in view of the emerging situation, urged the people to celebrate this festival in adherence to the guidelines and norms issued by the administration.
Also advisors to LG including Baseer Khan, Farooq Khan, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, K. K. Sharma in seperate messages have extended their greeted people on the ocassion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Advisors have urged people to strictly follow the guidelines and protocol of health advisories while celebrating auspicious occasions during COVID-19 pandemic. They hoped the festival will brings peace, prosperity and happiness to the people of the Jammu and Kashmir, besides calling on helping neighbours, orphans and the needy during Eid celebrations.
Menwhile Chief Secretary B.V.R Subhramanyam has extended warm greetings to the people of the Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. In his message, the Chief Secretary said that the festival is celebrated upon culmination of the Holy month of Ramadhan a pious month, marked by feeling of compassion towards humanity, eagerness to extend helping hand to those who are suffering, focusing on charity and good deeds, seeking refuge in Almighty against evil and providing opportunities to devotees for self introspection and nurturing values of compassion.
On this occasion, the Chief Secretary prayed for prosperity and happiness for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
