BARAMULLA: The two local militants who were killed in a daylong gunfight with government forces in Srinagar city on Tuesday was buried in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district late evening.
Locals of the area said that bodies of both militants Junaid Ashraf Sehrai son of senior Huryat leader Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai and Tariq Ahmad Sheikh a resident of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district were shifted to Gantamulla Baramulla martyrs graveyard by police on Tuesday late evening and buried around 9 pm with the help of local people. They said, the mother and brother of Tariq Ahmad Sheikh who were informed in the afternoon were present when both the militants were buried.
Earlier over two hundred non local militants were buried in the graveyard in past three years, but from past month police start to shift all the local and non local militants to this graveyard for burial to avoid public gatherings on the funerals of militants.
