GANDERBAL: The Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal Monday toured various areas of the district to inspect the resumption of Rural Development Department (RDD) activities. Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, District Panchayat Officer, KundanbirKour, BDO Ganderbal and other concerned accompanied the DC.

During visit the DC took stock of various activities of MGNREGA including de-silting process of various irrigation canals of the district and urged the concerned BDOs to ensure that de-silting process is completed within the stipulated time frame as agricultural activities have resumed in the district. Interacting with the workers who hailed the central Government in general and District Administration particular for allowing MGNREGA works amid the lockdown, the DC emphasized on ensuring social distancing norms besides using face masks during work.
