Kangan family put into home quarantine after relatives visit from red zone

Kangan: Nine family members from Kangan in Ganderbal district were put on home quarantine on Wednesday after relatives visit from Bandipora’s Covid-19 red zone. Officials said that the three persons form red zone area of Bandipora district recently visited a family in Sidra Cherwan Kangan and the trio was immediately sent back to Bandipora.

“Administration has put all family members in home isolation and the medical team has been asked to collect blood samples of the family who came in contact with visitors,” they said.

Officials said the house has been fenced and sanitation drive is being carried out as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of Covid-19. Sub Division Magistrate Kangan (SDM) Hakim Tanveer told Kashmir Reader that as part of the precautionary measures, all family members have been put into home Quarantine for two weeks. Police have also urged people to follow to lockdown rules So far, thirteen persons have tested Covid-19 positive in Ganderbal.
