GANDERBAL: Over twenty persons were quarantined in Ganderbal after three new positive cases from Ghzhama village. Guzhama has been declared red zone after two positive cases were detected in the village earlier. District Magistrate (DM), Shafqat Iqbal said that 3 fresh positive cases have been put into isolation at Covid-19 District Hospital, Ganderbal, besides 20 persons are Hospital quarantined whose samples have been taken for testing. He appealed the people to maintain social distancing and obey the advisories issued by the Health department and district administration. He appreciated the surveillance teams for their tireless efforts in contact tracing. District administration here has intensified efforts by implementing strict lockdown, aggressive contact tracing and sampling in red zones, carrying door to door information dissemination campaign and counselling general public for observing social distancing, importance of wearing a mask to contain the deadly virus.
