Rainfall brings down temperature in Valley

SRINAGAR: Rainfall from Tuesday afternoon in Kashmir has dropped down the temperature with Gulmarg recording minus 0.5 degree Celsius and Srinagar 6.5 degree Celsius, MeT office said. Director of Met centre Rambagh, Sonum Lotus told Kashmir Reader that there is a possibility of rain with a thunderstorm in some parts of Kashmir valley from Tuesday. “The rains with thunderstorm is likely to continue at scattered places of Jammu and Kashmir,” Lotus said. “During next three days, the weather is likely to remain mainly dry,” he added. Superintendent of Traffic for Rural Kashmir, Manzoor Ahmad Mir told Kashmir Reader that the highway is open only for essential commodities. “Due to the fair weather and better road condition, only essential commodities vehicles will be allowed to move,” Mir said.
