SRINAGAR: The beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) scheme will get free cylinder refill for the next three months as per the announcement made by the government of India.

Parvaiz Ahmad Khan, sales manager of Indian oil corporation (OIC) told Kashmir Reader that there are166058 PMUY customers in Kashmir and 4730 customers in Ladakh. “We have already transferred the refill amount of Rs 851 into customer’s accounts. They will get free refills of 14.2 kg for a period of three months i.e. from April- June 30th as per the announcement made by the government,” he said.

He said that a customer is entitled to one cylinder per month. “The beneficiary can book the next refill only after 15 days of receipt of the last refill. The booking of refill must be done through IVRS or registered mobile number,” he said. Surinder Dogra, Territory Manager of the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited told Kashmir Reader that the company is transferring an advance amount for refills of cylinders into customer’s bank account.
