Social org Khidmat-e-Khalq comes forward to help needy in Hajin

Hajin: Various social organisations have come forward to provide help to poor and destitute people in Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district whose life and livelihood are at risk due to Coronavirus lockdown. One such organisation, Khidmat-e-Khalq, comprising at least 30 volunteers from Hajin area is getting overwhelming support from people living in Hajin. Volunteers of Khidmat- e-Khalq have reached out to people affected by the lockdown and provided them with food packets. While talking to Kashmir Reader, Waseem Ahmad Parray who is leading this group said their work would not have been possible without the help of people. “It is because of their good support that we are trying our best to help the destitute and needy people in the area amid this lockdown,” Waseem said. He said they have identified families are poor and have provided them with food packets. Waseem said he is thankful to the people of the area for donating to their group. “It is because of the donations that we are able to provide some relief to the needy whose life has been hit badly due to the prevailing situation,” he said, adding, “We are trying our best to identify poor and needy people in Tehsil Hajin.” He said, “It’s our moral responsibility to help the most vulnerable people. We appeal to all citizens of Hajin to join in our efforts so that we can help the needy.”
