AWANTIPORA: Police on Tuesday booked seven persons for offering prayers in a Mosque at village Padgampora area of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Police said that despite clear orders of District Magistrate and various announcements requesting people to offer prayers at home, it was found that 7 persons have assembled at Padgampora Masjid for prayers. “They were arrested and taken to Police station for legal action,” a police officer said. A case FIR number 40 /2020 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Awantipora, police said.
