KU puts on hold examination process

SRINAGAR: Amid the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic, Kashmir University has put on hold the process of submitting examination forms for undergraduate 5th and 6th-semester examinations.
The university administration had on Tuesday asked the college students of 2017 batch to complete the online submission of examination forms for the two semesters for now. Given the prevailing Coronavirus scare, KU had given the students the choice of submitting the hard copies of e examinations forms as and when the university opened.
“Students remained adamant on not submitting the online examination forms under the prevailing circumstances forcing the varsity to put on hold the examination process for now,” KU’s Controller Examinations, Prof Farooq Ahmad Mir told Kashmir Reader.
Prof Mir said that students had the choice to deposit the fee at the banks as and when normalcy returned.
Controller Examinations feared that the students might lose yet another academic year in case the current lockdown stretched further.
Tuesday’s notification by the varsity had asked the 5th and 6th-semester students of 2017 batch to complete the online submission of their examination forms from March 26 till April 4.
