Srinagar: Divisional Commission Kashmir, P K Pole on Thursday ordered an inquiry into the negligence on part of SKIMS Medical College-Hospital Bemina to handle the Coronavirus suspect during his visit to the hospital.
Additional commissioner Kashmir Tasaduq Hussain has been appointed as the inquiry officer who will probe the matter and initiate action against the Medical Superintendent SKIMS Hospital Bemina and HOD Chest Medicine there.
“As per Principal SKIMS Medical College-Hospital the patient who was later tested as COVID 19 positive has not been handled as per the protocol required to treat such a patient,” said an official letter.
It said the hospital adminstration didn’t inform the district and divisional administration about patient which has given ample time for the spread of virus through the patient.
The patient died this morning at CD Hospital.
