BARAMULLA: An elderly person was killed, after being hit by a private car in Handwara area of district Kupwara on Monday afternoon. Sources said that Mohammad Abdullah Bhat 65 son of Abdul Aziz Bhat resident of Prangroo Mawer Handwara was hit by a car near Prangroo crossing and left the injured on road.Later some other people shifted him to district hospital Handwara, where he passed away.
Medical superintendent district hospital Handwara Dr Ajaz Ahmad said that injured was bought dead by some people to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Handwara police register a case under relevant act and started investigation.
