Close relatives of Khanyar woman test negative

Srinagar: Two close relatives of the patient who tested positive for COVID 19 on Wednesday were tested negative of coronavirus infection at SKIMS Soura on Friday.
“Three test reports of suspected coronavirus patients came negative today. Of these, two were of close relatives of the elderly woman who tested positive on Wednesday. The third one had reported with a travel history and symptoms of COVID 19 to the clinic of our institute,” said Dr Farooq A Jan, Medical Superintendent of Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS).
He said the woman patient who tested positive is stable and responding well to treatment.
“We have put her on anti-viral drugs and she is also receiving treatment as per the symptoms,” Dr Jan said.
“One of her close relatives requested for administrative isolation. He is not admitted with us as we are not aware of his test report,” Dr Jan said.
