JAMMU: The Administrative Council sanctioned to grant of ex-gratia of Rs 20 Lakh in favour of Next of Kin of Fire & Emergency Services, Home Guard, Civil Defence and Disaster Response Force personnel who lay down their lives while performing their duty.
The decision is aimed to provide financial support to the families/Next of Kin of these courageous personnel who die in the line of duty.
The Administrative Council also sanctioned payment of ex-gratia of Rs 20 Lakh each to Next of Kin of three deceased personnel of Fire and Emergency Services Department who lost their lives in a fire incident on 12 February, 2020 at Talab Tillo, Jammu. The deceased personnel include Rattan Chand, Leading Fireman, Muhammad Aslam, SG Fireman and Vimal Raina, Fireman.
