17 sheep killed in suspected wolf attack at Pattan

BARAMULLA: Seventeen sheep were killed and sixteen other were injured in a suspected wolf attack in Kumangdara village of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday night.
Sources said that a pack of wolves entered into the cowshed of Mohammad Maqbool Chopan in Kumangdara village of Pattan on Saturday night and killed his 17 sheep while 16 others were injured.
Wildlife Warden for north Kashmir, Mohammad Maqbool Baba said that it is impossible that wolves can kill 17 sheep at a time.
“It may be a leopard,” he said, adding that he will sent a team to check the actual facts.
