PAMPORE: Employees of Municipal Committee Pampore on Tuesday staged a protest against in charge executive officer for his misbehaviour and demanded his transfer.
The protesting sanitation employees assembled here at town hall Pampore and raised slogans against in charge executive officer MC Pampore.
“We demand transfer of executive officer Munciple Committee Pampore,” a protesting employee said.
He said that the in charge executive officer was attached to MC Pampore without any formal order. He said that a month later,a formal order was given to him.
“He is rude with his subordinate staff and gets irritated with minor things,” he said, adding that his irritative behaviour is affecting their routine work.
The protesters later took out a rally from town hall to office of tehsildar Pampore and sought his intervention.
“We requested Tehsildar Pampore to take up the matter with higher authorities and pleaded before him that an honest officer be deputed to Municipal Committee Pampore and the incumbent be transferred,” employees said.
They added that tehsildar Pampore instructed executive officer Municipal Committee Pampore to resolve the differences with the protesting employees or otherwise he will be compelled to report his incompetence before higher authorities.
