SRINAGAR: Pesticide products manufactured by Sumitomo Chemicals India Pvt Ltd has been banned by Central Insecticides Laboratory Faridabad.
The products are with batch numbers LVSH0S0250 and LVSH0S0251, manufacture date 03-02-2019, 04-02-2019 and expiry date 02-02-2022,02-02-2022.
The deputy director of Law enforcement of Agriculture department Kashmir has informed the public not to use and purchase these pesticide products from the markets under the mentioned batch number, manufacture date and expiry date.
The department have also directed Law Enforcement inspector Srinagar to seize the stocks of Sumitomo Chemicals India Pvt Ltd pesticide products and proceed further as per provisions of the insecticides Act 1968 and the Rules made there under with intimation to the office for record and reference.
Deputy director of Law Enforcement, M.A Nazki told Kashmir Reader after this pesticide products have been declared misbranded by Central Insecticides Laboratory Faridabad, we have informed public not to use this pesticide.
“We have already directed the Law Enforcement inspector Srinagar to seize the stocks in the market,” he said.
He said if any person will be found selling this pesticide products, a case will be registered against that person.
He added that the case is being registered in the court which has also decided the penalty amount against the violators under insecticides Act 1968.
