BARAMULLA: Several employees of Public Health Engineering department (PHE) on Thursday locked the main office at Uri, alleging that their salaries are deliberately delayed by the higher officials and staffers at office .
The agitated employees that included several daily rated employees of the department said that every time they receive salary a monwwth later.
The employees alleged that the salary once received in the salary account of the department is shifted by some “unscrupulous staffers” in their personal accounts who then earn interest on this amount and unnecessarily delaying salary.
They urged the authorities to look into their grievance at earliest and streamline the process of the salary and also demanded a probe into the delay.
The executive engineer pacified the agitated employees and assured them that he will look into their grievance at earliest and ensure release of their salary.
