South Kashmir emerges on top again

Srinagar: Repeating last year’s performance, four southern districts of Kashmir have emerged as the top ranking performers in the class 10 annual examination results in terms of the pass percentage.
In the annual examination results declared by the BOSE a day ago, the south Kashmir districts of Shopian and Pulwama have secured the top two positions among the districts by securing pass percentage of 86.94 and 85.77, respectively.
While Srinagar has registered a pass percentage of 81.33 percent, south Kashmir’s Kulgam and Anantnag districts stand at the fourth and fifth spots with a pass percentage of 81.22 and 75.30 percent.
Last year, Pulwama and Shopian districts had in a similar way topped the exams with a pass percentage of 84.50 and 83 respectively.
Kulgam and Anantnag districts, which had registered a pass percentage of 80.50 and 78 respectively, had been at the 4th and 5th positions respectively following Srinagar, which had then registered a pass percentage of 81.90 at 3rd position.
