Srinagar: A strong earthquake rocked Kashmir on Friday afternoon prompting people to panic and rush out of their houses. However, there was no report of loss of life or property.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the magnitude of the tremor was 6.1 and it epicentre in Hindukush mountains.
The impact of the strong earthquake was felt across Kashmir and other parts of India.
In Delhi’s NCR and northern parts of the country, the tremors shook multi-storeyed buildings and people were seen stepping outside for their safety.
