BARAMULA: LPG stoves meant for earthquake hit victims has disappeared from Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs store (FCS&CA) in Baramulla and the authorities say they have no clue about it.
Even though the food officials are tight-lipped about why these stoves were not distributed among the victims and why they were left to rot, district administration has now taken cognisance of the matter and team has been constituted to probe this matter.
According to sources nearly 1500 gas stoves had been lying with the department and a major portion of it was still in a store room that was locked recently.
District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Dr GN Itoo said that they have constituted a team to be headed by ADC Mohammad Ahsan Mir to know “why this was allowed to happen”.
