JK Cements employees demand enquiry into ‘mismanagement’

PAMPORE: The employees of JK Cements located at Khrew area of Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district have demanded enquiry into alleged mismanagement which downgraded the factory and brought it to the brim of bankruptcy.
The employees said that they were without salaries since January of this year due to which they face tremendous hardships in meeting their daily requirements.
The aggrieved employees said that they met Principal Secretary Industries and commerce last week and apprised him of their grievance. They said that the Principal Secretary informed them that the factory was mismanaged by the employees, the accusation which is refuted by the employees.
The employees alleged that it was the inefficient management which caused the downfall of the factory since 201.“We appeal Principal Secretary to hold an enquiry to look into the mismanagement of the managing body and brought the culprits to the book,” said K K Kachroo, an employee of JK Cements.
He added that the factory was paying dividend till it was managed by efficient officers.
The employees appealed Lieutenant Governor to address their grievances.
