PAMPORE: Consumers in Pampore area are facing frequent power cuts complaining that they not receiving the power as per the schedule set by the power department.
Mohammad Yousuf Malik, a senior citizen and member of civil society Pampore complained that Power Development Department (PDD) is not supplying them electricity as per set schedule.
The schedule according to him would give consumers 2 hours of un-interrupted power supply followed cuts of equal time.
“We are supposes to get 12 hour supply during a day, but we are receiving supply of less than 4 hours,” he said.
The evening hours are mostly without power that according to consumers is causing immense problems to students who are appearing in board and university exams.
The residents said they brought this issue into the notice of concerned officials of power development department a number of times but to no avail.
They sought immediate intervention of the district administration to end their problem.
