Uri villages cut-off by mudslides after incessant rains

BARAMULLA: Incessant rains have cut-off two villages in north Kashmir’s Uri due to mudslides.
Chutranda and Batgram villages near LoC have lost contact with the outside world causing disruption of essential supplies. The locals demand early restoration of road connectivity so that they can get winter supplies.
They said that connectivity is vital for them as it is used to move to safer places in case of frequent cross LoC firing.
Meanwhile, rains continued to lash many north Kashmir villages on Saturday.
