BARAMULLA: One person was killed in Jabri area in Uri near Line of Control after he along with his associate was caught in a snow avalanche in the nearby forest.
According to locals, Mohammad Ismail Jinder along with Amjad Ahmad Sood had gone to woods to extract firewood but got caught in an avalanche.
After they did not reach home, locals launched a search operation and found them buried in an avalanche.
Both of them were shifted to health centre Boniyar where Muhammad Ismail Jinder died. Sood is under treatment.
