Railway services to resume in Kashmir next week

Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan Wednesday asked the Railway authorities to restore the train services in valley from next week.
He passed the directions during a meeting with railway officials, district administrations and police convened to discuss restoration of railway services in Kashmir.
Khan reviewed measures for restoring train service in the valley, which was suspended in August.
While asking the officials to make all arrangements for resuming train services, Div Com passed various instructions and directed the Railway authorities to conduct a track inspection within three days, which will be followed by a trial run on November 10 and the resumption of services from November 11.
